Let’s Be Honest
Starting golf can feel scary. What if you miss? What if people stare? What if you look silly?
Here’s a truth from us at Golfhaus: Everyone misses at first. Everyone feels awkward. And no one is watching you.
The best way to get better? Just hit your first ball.
Step 1: Grab a 7-Iron
It’s the easiest club to learn with. You don’t need a driver yet.
Step 2: Check Your Grip
Hold the club like you’re shaking hands with it—firm but not tense. We’ll post a detailed grip guide soon, but for now:
-
Left hand on top (for right-handers)
-
Right hand below
-
Thumbs pointing down the club
Step 3: Stance and Ball Position
-
Feet shoulder-width apart
-
Ball in the middle of your stance
-
Knees relaxed
Step 4: Swing Easy
Don’t try to smash it. Just a smooth backswing and follow through. Let the club do the work.
Step 5: Celebrate Your Hit
Even if it rolls 10 metres, you’ve started your golf journey.
Golf Is for You
Golf isn’t about looking perfect. It’s about progress, fresh air, and having a laugh with yourself.
At Golfhaus, we believe in making golf accessible for everyday Aussies. We’ll walk with you, one swing at a time.
